Elida Tirtopan is a flutist living in Switzerland. She studied the flute at the National Music University in Bucharest and at the Bern University of the Arts. She is focused on solo recitals and chamber music and teaches at the Fribourg Conservatory and Seeland Music School in Switzerland. As a flutist, she has taken part in masterclasses across Europe and in Canada, held by world renowned musicians like Emmanuel Pahud, Andras Adorjan, William Bennett, Christian Studler, Herman van Kogelenberg, Jean-Claude Gerard, Janos Balint, Marco Brolli and Karl Kaiser. Her repertoire is ranging from baroque music to contemporary playing techniques and includes improvisation and beatbox. In addition to her passion for playing and teaching, she organizes and directs musical and social projects in her home country and does volunteer work.
