Carmine Rizzi (violinist)

Born in Barletta, he graduated in 1991 in violin with full marks at “Niccolo Piccinni” Conservatory of Bari under the guidance of M° Sante D'Orazio. Than he studied with M° Cristiano Rossi at the Academy of Imola, the Academy of San Marino and Academy Barense , with M° Corrado Romano at the Academy "Perosi" in Biella, with M° Yair Kless at the Institute of Villa Contarini in Padova and for chamber music with the Trio di Milano (Canino, Sirbu , Filippini) at the School of Music of Fiesole. As soloist he successfully performed with I Maestri Orchestra of London in Prokofiev violin concerto nr 1, the International Chamber Orchestra of Rome in Italy and America (Merkin Concert Hall), with Soundiff and with Balcan Chamber Orchestra, I Suoni del Sud with The Eight Seasons and he recorded contemporary music works for cd “Miniatures” published by Soundiff and “In Limine” for RMN Music London for solo violin. He won the audition in 1995 of Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana becoming a stable member. In 1999 he won the audition for first parts . With the OFM he performed in Italy and abroad (Europe and Asia), recorded for tv’s, radio broadcasts and cd albums. Active in the field of chamber music he performs in many groups, especially violin and piano and string quartet. In 2002 he created with other musicians of the OFM “The Archi Live” string quartet with whom he recorded two cd’s: “Live in radio blu” and “Swingin Christmas”. Very active in the field of new music, he collaborates with contemporary composers such as Nicola Monopoli and Paolo Geminiani for world premieres and recordings. Since 2009 he started to collaborate with orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari and in 2012 he won the audition to be a stable member playing as Assistant to 2nd Principal Violin. He received mentions and prizes in important national competitions such as A.M.A Calabria, Città di Taranto, Locorotondo and Sannicandro G.co. He twice won the scholarship for “Progetto Orchestra organized by Amici della Musica of Vicenza held by the first parts of Orchestra della Scala of Milan (Pagliani, Rossi, Dindo). He was funded by Puglia Sounds for the project Puglia Sounds Export 2015 to engage a series of three concerts in Australia (Italian Institute of Culture of Sydney, Richmond Uniting Church and St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Melbourne, recently also in Tokyo. In 2007 he received a Master’s degree in Violin under the guidance of M° Walter Daga and M° Marco Rogliano at the Conservatory “G. Pergolesi” of Fermo. In the same year he also graduated in Viola at the Conservatory “G. Rossini” of Pesaro. He took part in important master-classes with famous musicians such as: Denes Zsigmondy, Ana Chumachenco, Natalia Boyarsky, Felix Ayo, Reiner Honek, Ilya Grubert and Giulio Franzetti. He plays an “Eugenio Politi“ violin built in Rome in 1883.
